As a Security Officer Continuous Patrol Guard in Jamaica, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a shelter location, where you will help support residents, staff, and visitors through routine patrols, a visible presence, and strong communication. In this people-first role, you will respond to security-related concerns, document activity, and deliver customer service with integrity, teamwork, and reliability while helping create a welcoming environment.

Pay Rate: $18.87 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, security-related policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a residential shelter location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report relevant details to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the building, common areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify permissions as directed by site procedures, and communicate professionally with residents, guests, staff, and/or service providers.
• Document daily activities, incidents, and/or maintenance concerns, and relay observations that may require follow-up according to post orders and client guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
