Security Officer - Construction Site Watch

As a Security Officer - Construction Site Watch in Aberdeen, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Security Officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly with guests, tenants, and site leadership, respond to concerns, and document activity using a computer and/or tablet. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a retail or mall location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting management and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of retail areas, corridors, common spaces, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify irregular conditions.
• Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and verify that doors, gates, and other controlled areas are secured according to site-specific instructions.
• Complete reports and logs for incidents, patrol observations, and customer service interactions, and communicate relevant updates to site leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be 21 years of age.
• Guard Card/License is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid is preferred.
• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
