What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a public transportation location.
- Respond to incidents, service calls, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with supervisors and/or local authorities as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of stations, platforms, parking areas, administrative buildings, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
- Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and public spaces, assisting with access control procedures and directing individuals according to location policies and posted rules.
- Support daily operations by observing crowd activity, addressing disturbances professionally, and providing visible presence throughout the location during assigned shifts.
Minimum Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
- Applicants must be 21 years of age.
- Baton certification is preferred.
- Handcuffing certification is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
