As a Security Officer Campus Patrol in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy government transportation location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control needs. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at government transportation locations.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while communicating with staff, visitors, and public agency personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout transit facilities, administrative buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, public areas, and/or designated access points, verify credentials when required, and document security-related activities, incidents, and observations according to site procedures.
• Support orderly operations by assisting with directions, answering general questions, and/or reporting maintenance, access, or operational concerns to the appropriate contact.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
