What You'll Do
- Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and staff by following site-specific access control procedures, screening entry and exit activity, and supporting security-related protocols for the location.
- Monitor entrances, gates, badges, credentials, and delivery traffic to help control authorized access to the facility, yard, and other restricted areas.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report unusual activity, policy violations, and/or operational concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Support truck, trailer, employee, and visitor check-in and check-out processes, maintain required logs and documentation, and communicate clearly with dispatch, site personnel, and/or emergency responders when needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, observing shipping, receiving, parking, and warehouse areas for suspicious activity and other security-related concerns.
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
