Security Officer - Armed

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driver in Edinburgh, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while delivering outstanding customer service. This position requires both carrying a concealed weapon and driving as part of your daily responsibilities. You will be a visible presence, supporting a secure environment and upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and designated areas to help to deter unauthorized access or suspicious behavior.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of activities, incidents, and observations during assigned shifts.
• Collaborate with law enforcement and/or emergency responders as needed according to site protocols.
• Adhere to all site-specific policies, procedures, and regulations relevant to a government environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid concealed carry weapons permit is required.
• A minimum of one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
