Security Officer - Armed Rover

As a Security Officer - Armed Area Patrol in Phoenix, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to alarms, calls for service, and unusual activity. You will control access, complete detailed reports, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors. Bring integrity, teamwork, and a people-first approach as you protect operations with reliable, agile service.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to facility visitors and staff by carrying out post orders, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
• Conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to identify unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site management and local public agencies as needed.
• Control access by monitoring entrances, verifying identification and/or authorizations, screening visitor check-ins, and documenting deliveries and contractor activity per site procedures.
• Complete detailed activity logs and incident reports, operate site security-related systems such as radios, cameras, and access control, and follow all applicable firearms handling and storage requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
