Security Officer - Armed Reception

As a Security Officer Armed Reception Control in Oak Brook, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location as a Front Desk Security Professional in an armed post. In this stationary role, you will welcome visitors, manage access and badge activity, and support security-related operations through clear communication and exceptional customer service. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service at the front desk by following site-specific procedures, screening and directing visitors, and supporting access control for the location.
• Monitor entry activity, verify identification and/or credentials as required, and help to deter unauthorized access to the facility.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and emergency responders when appropriate.
• Maintain detailed front desk logs, visitor records, and incident reports, and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and other security-related matters to Allied Universal management and/or site leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
• Must possess an armed guard card or license.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
