As a Security Officer Armed GED Verified Patrol in Bronx, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting supervisors, first responders, and/or designated personnel when needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, entrances, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, permits, and/or identification in accordance with site policies to help to deter unauthorized entry and support orderly operations.
• Prepare clear and accurate activity logs, incident reports, and/or shift pass-down notes, and report maintenance concerns, hazards, and/or suspicious activity through proper channels.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card/license.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
