Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this dynamic role, you will support day-to-day operations with professionalism, teamwork, and integrity while reflecting a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative approach.

Pay Rate: $19.34 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through established channels.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and help verify that only authorized individuals enter restricted government areas, following post orders and escalation protocols when needed.
• Support preparedness efforts by assisting with emergency notifications, evacuation guidance, and coordination with supervisors and/or public emergency personnel when appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

• A minimum of 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or a college degree, is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• An armed guard card/license is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
