Security Officer - Armed Patrol

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol in New Orleans, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents and provide a reassuring presence at a commercial real estate location. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and interact with tenants and visitors to deliver exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using sound judgment and communication skills.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and maintain a visible Allied Universal presence.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns.
• Work collaboratively with property management and/or law enforcement as required, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Document incidents, observations, and security-related activities in accordance with Allied Universal policies and site requirements.
• Remain alert and aware of the surroundings to help to deter and report suspicious behavior or hazards within the commercial real estate location.
• Adhere to all site-specific protocols regarding the carrying and use of authorized firearms, maintaining compliance with Allied Universal standards and legal regulations.

Minimum Requirements:

• An armed guard card or license is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
