As a Security Officer – Armed Patrol Specialist in Carson City, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a visible presence. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, responding to emergency situations.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or access.
- Monitor and report on any suspicious activities, hazards, or irregularities observed during patrols.
- Maintain detailed and accurate logs and reports of daily activities and incidents.
- Collaborate with law enforcement and/or emergency responders as needed during critical incidents.
- Follow all protocols for the handling and use of firearms as required by site policies and regulations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Graduate of Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or equivalent is required.
- Armed Guard Card or License is preferred.
- CPR or First Aid certification is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
