Security Officer - Armed Patrol Rover

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Rover in Coral Springs, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with clear communication and strong customer service. You will support a caring culture that puts people first while staying agile, reliable, and innovative. You will collaborate through teamwork and act with integrity on every shift.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
• Carry and maintain authorized firearm and related equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, post orders, and applicable laws and licensing requirements.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior and exterior areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site representatives and/or local law enforcement as needed.
• Monitor access control points, verify identification and/or credentials when required, and complete detailed written reports and logs of observations, incidents, and actions taken.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 5 years of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
