As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver Academy Graduate in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed, driving patrol professional supporting a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $22.26 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining an armed post in accordance with assigned duties and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as required, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and/or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate incident, activity, and/or patrol reports and communicate relevant information to supervisors, public officials, and/or first responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
• Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Possess a college degree.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a corrections officer license.
• Possess a DD214 with honorable discharge or an associate degree or 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate.
• Possess a law enforcement officer license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
