As a Security Officer Armed - Facility in Charleston, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer in a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support a professional environment through strong customer service and communication. You will respond to site needs with integrity, teamwork, and reliability while representing Allied Universal's caring and innovative culture in a role where your experience can make a real impact.

Pay Rate: $20.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or law enforcement when needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and/or public access points, verifying credentials and following post orders for authorized access and visitor processing.
• Support investigations related to policy violations, suspicious activity, and/or reported concerns by gathering details, preparing reports, and maintaining a professional presence throughout the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military, and/or corrections experience.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
