As a Airport Traffic Control Officer in Honolulu, HI, you will serve and safeguard the airport, its facilities, travelers, directing and managing flow of traffic, enforcing security protocals and procedures helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors and staff. Your presence and routine patrols will support a secure environment while you provide outstanding customer service and clear communication. Position Type: Full Time - Morning

Pay Rate: $19.23 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $4.30. Premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to the public, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government airport location.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of terminals, curbside areas, administrative spaces, parking areas, and perimeter zones, noting irregular activity, unsecured doors, and/or prohibited access.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, disturbances, and/or suspicious activity, and coordinate with airport operations and local authorities as directed.
• Control access at designated posts by checking credentials and/or authorizations, directing pedestrian and vehicle traffic, and reporting unauthorized entry attempts.
• Complete shift logs, patrol reports, and incident documentation, and communicate observations and/or instructions using radios, phones, and other approved systems.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
• Being able to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Be at least 20 years of age for unarmed roles; 22 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
