Security Officer - Airport Distribution Center

As a Security Officer - Airport Distribution Center in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support access activity with strong customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $20.60 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, loading and unloading areas, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed by site policies, and observe incoming and outgoing foot and vehicle traffic to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or restricted area access.
• Support shipping and receiving area operations by observing trailer yards, dock doors, and high-traffic areas, and communicating security-related concerns, hazards, and/or policy violations according to post instructions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
