As a Security Officer Airport Access Control in Santa Ana, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a government aviation location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control, assist visitors and staff with clear communication, and document observations using a computer and/or tablet. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government transportation facility.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of terminals, public areas, parking locations, and perimeter routes to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points, gates, and restricted-area boundaries; check credentials and/or visitor authorization as directed by post orders.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate airport and/or public agency personnel when needed.
• Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and shift documentation; communicate observations and/or hazards to on-site leadership and incoming personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 2 or more years of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
