Security Officer - Afternoon Patrol

As a Security Officer - Retail Patrol Driver in Grandville, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will conduct routine patrols throughout retail and mall locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service. Your presence and proactive approach will help create a welcoming environment for visitors and staff. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall location and its perimeter, observing for suspicious activity and helping to deter potential issues.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a welcoming environment for all occupants.
• Work closely with client staff and local authorities as needed to support security-related operations within the location.
• Document incidents, observations, and activities in detailed reports according to Allied Universal guidelines.
• Remain alert and attentive to surroundings while on patrol to identify and address security-related concerns as they arise.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
