Security Officer - Access Gate

As a Security Officer - Access Gatehouse in Mira Loma, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated areas within a dynamic food and beverage location. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and delivering outstanding customer service. You will work in a supportive environment that values teamwork, reliability, and integrity, making a positive impact while helping to maintain a secure setting for everyone on site.

What You'll Do:

• Assist with access control procedures to help to deter unauthorized entry into the location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verifying credentials and granting access according to site-specific protocols.
• Provide customer service by addressing inquiries and assisting visitors and employees at the location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response protocols.
• Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or irregularities as required by site policies.
• Collaborate with Allied Universal management and site personnel to maintain awareness of security-related procedures and expectations.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
