Job Description

As a Security Officer Access Gate Monitor in Longwood, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic auto auction location where you will monitor entry points, manage access control procedures, and support security-related operations through visible presence, routine patrols, and professional communication. In this role, you will help to deter incidents while delivering strong customer service to guests and staff. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, employees, and vendors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an automotive location.
• Monitor entry and exit points for people, vehicles, and deliveries, verifying credentials, authorizations, and documentation in accordance with established post orders and security-related protocols.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues to site leadership and/or emergency services when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, lots, gate areas, and perimeter, observing for unusual activity, property concerns, and policy violations that could help to deter unauthorized access.
• Document daily activities, incidents, and visitor and/or vehicle access information in required logs and reports, while communicating clearly with customers, coworkers, and site contacts.
  
  

Minimum Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
