Security Officer - Access Gate Monitor

As a Security Officer - Access Gate Monitor in Irving, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help manage site entry points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and vehicle logs, and support dock and yard operations with clear communication. You will remain a visible presence, conduct routine rounds as assigned, and report security-related concerns promptly. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to drivers, employees, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Control access at entry points by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, and directing traffic to appropriate docks and/or parking areas.
• Screen inbound and outbound vehicle and pedestrian traffic by checking shipment paperwork as required, observing trailers and seals for irregularities, and reporting concerns per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, documenting events, and coordinating with site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, yard, and perimeter, monitor for unusual activity or hazards, and complete detailed reports per post orders.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card/license is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
