Security Officer - Access Control

As a Security Officer - Access Control in Temperanceville, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced food and beverage location where you will manage access control, greet employees and visitors, verify credentials, and maintain clear logs. You will conduct routine patrols and monitor assigned areas, staying visible to help to deter security-related incidents while providing calm, professional communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and employees by following site-specific access control procedures, security-related policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Control entry and exit at designated access points by verifying identification, checking authorization, issuing visitor credentials, and directing individuals to the appropriate location.
• Screen incoming and outgoing vehicle and pedestrian traffic in a food and beverage manufacturing and distribution environment, including managing truck check-in and coordinating with site contacts for approvals.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and notifying Allied Universal leadership and site representatives as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including entrances, yards, and perimeter, watching for irregular activity that may help to deter unauthorized access.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer Service Experience is preferred.
• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
• Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Alarm Panel Experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
