Security Officer - Access Control

As a Security Officer Ingress Control in Minooka, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will help manage access control, monitor entry and exit activity, and support security-related protocols for people, visitors, and deliveries. In this role, you will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, provide outstanding customer service and communication, and bring our values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity to every shift.

Pay Rate: $17.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery drivers by following access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, process visitor and vendor access, and maintain required logs and documentation for the location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or first responders when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, including building access points, shipping and receiving areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations, as assigned.
• Help to deter unauthorized access, support traffic and truck flow at entry gates, and report maintenance, security-related, and/or operational concerns observed during the shift.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
