As a Security Officer - Retail Access Control in North Little Rock, AR, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Allied Universal team member assigned to access control in a retail or mall location, you will monitor entry points, manage badge access, and conduct regular patrols to help deter security-related incidents. You will remain visible throughout your shift, support a welcoming environment, and deliver outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
- Assist in access control processes, including verifying credentials and granting or denying entry to authorized or unauthorized individuals at the location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
- Monitor entrances, exits and sensitive areas to help to deter theft, loss and/or unauthorized access.
- Document and report any irregularities, incidents, or suspicious activities according to Allied Universal and client guidelines.
- Work closely with retail staff and management to address security-related concerns and provide a visible presence at the location.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance while representing Allied Universal at all times.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control or badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
