Security Officer - Access Control

As a Security Officer - Entry Control in Lacey, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy retail distribution location where you will manage access control, verify badges, and monitor entries and exits to help support smooth, security-related operations. You will perform routine patrols, remain visible to help reduce unwanted activity, and communicate clearly with team members and visitors while using a computer and/or tablet to document activity. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail distribution location.
• Control access at entry and exit points by checking identification, issuing temporary badges, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, and verifying delivery driver and/or vendor documentation.
• Monitor CCTV and alarm systems, report unusual activity, and communicate with site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with traffic flow for inbound and outbound trucks and employee parking areas when directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, docks, staging areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity; working environments and conditions may vary by site.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 years of security experience.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
