As a Security Officer Access Control Specialist in Sparrows Point, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor entry points, verify authorized access, conduct routine patrols, and help deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, contractors, and employees by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at an industrial location.
• Monitor and control access to the facility by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, and directing authorized personnel to appropriate areas.
• Respond to access-control concerns, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters in accordance with site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, parking areas, buildings, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and access-related information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least six months of security-related experience is required.
• At this site, there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and a rustic guard shack.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
