Security Officer - Access Control Specialist

As a Security Officer - Access Control Specialist in Mesa, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal in a cutting-edge technology environment, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure atmosphere for tenants and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and provide exceptional customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel in accordance with established protocols.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as necessary.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
• Document and report any irregularities, security-related incidents, or unusual occurrences as required.
• Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and site personnel to support a secure environment within a technology, media, and telecom setting.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
