Security Officer - Access Control Monitor

As a Security Officer - Access Control Monitor in Sparrows Point, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will help manage site entry points, greet employees and visitors, verify credentials, and track arrivals using a computer or tablet. You will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, while communicating clearly and delivering people-first customer service with integrity, teamwork, and a reliable, agile approach.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Control access at entry points by verifying identification, credentials, and/or shipping documentation; manage visitor, contractor, and employee sign-in and badge processes.
• Monitor and document inbound and outbound vehicle and pedestrian traffic, including coordinating with shipping and receiving for deliveries, pickups, and trailer movements.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services as needed and completing required reports.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, yards, and perimeter gates to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Have customer service experience, preferred.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
