As a Security Officer - Access Control Gate in Cheshire, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Join Allied Universal at a utilities location where you will support access control by greeting employees and visitors, verifying credentials, managing entry points, and documenting activity. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and communicate clearly with site teams during daily operations. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to site personnel, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
• Control access at designated entry points by checking identification and credentials, issuing temporary badges, maintaining visitor logs, and directing authorized individuals to appropriate areas.
• Conduct vehicle and delivery access processing as required, including verifying documentation, coordinating with site contacts, and reporting irregularities per post orders to help to deter unauthorized entry.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, documenting events, and supporting on-site responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter prohibited activity and/or identify maintenance or operational concerns for reporting.

Minimum Requirements:

• Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
