As a Security Officer Access Control in York, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location as an Access Control Officer, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support smooth site operations. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents while delivering exceptional customer service and clear communication. Pay Rate: $19.61 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by following site-specific access procedures, verifying credentials, and supporting security-related protocols at the location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, manage visitor and/or vendor access, and document arrivals, departures, and other assigned activity in accordance with site guidelines.
• Respond to incidents, access issues, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns and contacting appropriate personnel when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, gate areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Support daily operations at a logistics and distribution location by communicating with site contacts, directing foot and vehicle traffic as assigned, and assisting with emergency response activities when appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
