Security Officer Access Command

As a Security Officer Access Command in Shreveport, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a utilities location, you will help monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support a smooth flow of authorized access for employees, visitors, and vendors. This role combines customer service, communication, and attention to detail while helping address security-related concerns. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, identification checks, credential verification, and entry and exit monitoring at a utilities location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting security-related concerns and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency responders as appropriate.
• Monitor access points, gates, lobbies, and/or control areas to help to deter unauthorized entry, verify permissions, and report unusual activity according to post instructions.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, observing for security-related issues, equipment concerns, and/or access control irregularities. Working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Maintain accurate visitor logs, badge records, key and/or credential control activities, and support site-specific policies related to restricted areas, deliveries, and contractor access.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
