As a Security Guard - Unarmed Hospital Patrol in Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will conduct regular patrols throughout a dynamic healthcare location, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and provide reassurance to staff, patients, and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies in a healthcare environment.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for healthcare locations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or security-related concerns.
• Assist with access control procedures, monitoring entrances and exits to help to deter unauthorized individuals from entering restricted areas.
• Observe and report any unusual activity, security-related hazards, or maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
• Support emergency response activities, including assisting with evacuations or medical emergencies as directed by site protocols.
• Maintain clear and professional communication with Allied Universal management, site staff, and emergency responders as needed.
• Document all incidents and daily activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific reporting requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
