As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Shift in Goleta, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic petrochemical location as an unarmed Patrol Officer, conducting routine vehicle and foot patrols and staying highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access points, document observations, and communicate clearly with site personnel while delivering customer service with integrity. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license and meeting AU Driver Policy Requirements, backed by a caring team that is agile, reliable, and innovative. What You'll Do: Provide customer service to clients and site personnel by following security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a chemical and petrochemical location. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying site contacts and/or emergency services per post orders. Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, tank farms, loading and unloading points, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity. Control access at gates and/or designated entry points by verifying identification, logging visitors and vehicles, and directing deliveries to approved locations per site requirements. Complete detailed reports, logs, and incident documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal management and/or client representatives. Minimum Requirements: A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred. Alarm Panel Experience is preferred. State, County, or City Issued Security License is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
