What You'll Do
- Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government services location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, and document observations in accordance with site protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, entry points, common areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual behavior.
- Monitor access to the location by observing entrances and exits, verifying authorization when required, and reporting security-related concerns to site contacts and/or supervisors.
- Support order at the location by providing directions, assisting with de-escalation when appropriate, and communicating with emergency personnel and/or management during incidents.
- A minimum of 6 months of security-related experience is required.
- Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
