As a Security Guard - Patrol Team Lead in Newark, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas on campus, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible. You will interact with students, staff, and visitors, providing outstanding customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Monitor for unusual activity and report any security-related concerns promptly.
• Assist with access control by verifying identification and/or credentials as required by site procedures.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of activities, incidents, and/or observations during each shift.
• Support Allied Universal management and site leadership by following all company and site-specific protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
