Security Guard- Full Time - Housing

As a Security Guard Licensed Patrol Specialist in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol professional at a government location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this role, you will support people first through teamwork, integrity, and a caring, reliable, and innovative approach each day.

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a government location serving the public.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, surrounding grounds, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, unsecured areas, and/or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, and help to deter unauthorized access, disruptive behavior, and/or prohibited activity in accordance with site rules.
• Support staff, visitors, and/or occupants by providing directions, answering questions, and reporting security-related concerns, hazards, and/or policy violations through proper channels.

Minimum Requirements:

• A New York State Security Guard License is required.
• A minimum of 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
