Security Officer (Path to Armed) - Up to $20.55 / Hour

Location: St. Louis, MO

Allied Universal is hiring Security Officers who are motivated to grow into an armed role within six months. This position offers a clear advancement path, allowing you to begin in an unarmed capacity and increase your earnings upon successful completion of armed certification requirements.

Pay That Grows With You

• Starting Pay: $18.93 / Hour(Unarmed)
• Increased Pay: $20.55 / Hour (Upon becoming armed within 6 months)

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate for an armed patrol post at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, production areas, parking areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorizations, and report suspicious behavior, restricted area violations, and/or policy concerns to site management.
• Support emergency and evacuation procedures, assist with preliminary incident reporting, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter disruptions at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card and/or license, as required.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
