As a Security Guard Armed Enhanced Part Time Patrol Incident Response in Houston, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.84 / Hour

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and public officials while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at government locations.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, access points, and surrounding perimeters, reporting unusual conditions or potential hazards.
• Monitor access to government facilities, verify authorized entry as directed by site policies, and assist with visitor screening procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with appropriate emergency personnel and site contacts.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrol activities, incidents, observations, and other security-related concerns in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess 1 years of law enforcement experience OR 2 years of security supervisor/manager experience OR 3 years of security-related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card/license.
• Possess a college degree.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
