As a Security Guard - Armed - Campus in CHICAGO, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at an education location, you will conduct routine patrols across campus areas, staying highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents and support students, staff, and visitors with clear communication and customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, and you may also ride a bike to cover routes. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of campus buildings, residence areas, parking lots, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Respond to alarms, disturbances, medical calls, and other incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with campus contacts and public responders as needed.
• Control access at designated posts by checking identification, monitoring entry points, and directing visitors according to site procedures.
• Complete daily activity logs and incident reports, document observed hazards and/or maintenance issues, and communicate key information during shift transitions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 1 years of security experience.
• Have an armed guard card/license.
• Provide proof of high school diploma/GED as required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be able to ride a bike.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
