As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Readiness in Dallas, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $24.48 / Hour

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by following site-specific procedures and security-related protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed foot and/or vehicle patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, building perimeters, and access points to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to facilities, verify visitor and contractor credentials as directed, maintain visitor logs, and report access concerns to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document actions taken.
• Complete detailed activity reports, incident reports, and shift handoffs while communicating observations and security-related concerns to Allied Universal leadership and client representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least two years of security-related experience.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
