As a Security Officer School Patrol in Lawrence, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a government location, maintaining a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. This role involves routine patrols, strong communication, and customer service while supporting a caring, agile, and reliable team. Pay Rate: $27.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting emergency services and documenting security-related concerns as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify identification, credentials, and/or visitor activity in accordance with site policies while reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or policy violations.
• Prepare clear, timely reports on incidents, patrol activity, and/or daily observations, and communicate relevant updates with site contacts, supervisors, and/or first responders.

Minimum Requirements:

• A concealed carry weapons permit is required.
• A minimum of 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree is required.
• A minimum of 1 year of law enforcement experience or 2 years of security-related supervisor or manager experience or 3 years of security-related experience is required.
• An armed guard card or license is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
