What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining a professional demeanor.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas within the location to help to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious activity.
• Assist with access control procedures and verify credentials of individuals entering restricted areas within the healthcare setting.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and emergency personnel as required during routine activities and critical incidents.
• Complete detailed reports and documentation related to security-related incidents, patrols, and any unusual occurrences at the location.
• Remain alert and prepared to respond to emergency situations, including medical emergencies and/or security-related threats, following established protocols.
  
  

Minimum Requirements

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Have at least 1 year of law enforcement experience or 2 years of security supervisor or manager experience or 3 years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
