What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing armed response protocols as required for the location.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and to observe for unusual conditions.
- Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain awareness of individuals on the premises.
- Report and document all incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal and client site requirements.
- Maintain a visible presence at the location to help to deter disruptive or criminal behavior and to provide assistance to employees and/or visitors as needed.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders as necessary in the event of critical incidents at the location.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
- Have 1 or more years of law enforcement experience or 2 or more years of security supervisor or manager experience or 3 or more years of security-related experience.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- An armed guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
