As a Airport Security Professional - Unarmed Patrol in Lihue, HI, you will safeguard the airport, staff, and it's facilities. Along with driving, patrolling, checking, and securing doors. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal serving a government location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help to deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment for all visitors and staff. Position Type: Part Time - Afternoon/Morning

Pay Rate: $22.50 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $3.93. The premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee.

• Valid Driver's License ( 1 years)
• 21 years of age
• Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening
• Ability to pass a background check according to the DOT Pass and ID office

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors and personnel by following Allied Universal and site-specific procedures, access requirements, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of terminals, administrative areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards.
• Monitor entrances, gates, and restricted areas, verifying identification and/or access authorization in accordance with posted instructions and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and public agencies as directed.
• Complete shift logs and incident reports with clear, accurate details, and communicate security-related observations to supervisors and oncoming personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for unarmed roles; 22 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
