POSITION OVERVIEW:

Allied Universal® Technology Services is hiring a Service Technician to drive our mission of being the world's most trusted service provider. The technician will perform service, maintenance, repair, and diagnostics on access control systems and IP-based video equipment, including electrified/non-electrified locks, card readers, IP/analog cameras, intercoms, video recorders, and wired/wireless systems.

WHAT TO EXPECT AS A COMMERCIAL SECURITY SERVICE TECHNICIAN:

• Travel to commercial client sites to service, identify, repair, troubleshoot, and detect access control equipment and IP-based video security systems. Including but not limited to:
  • Electrified/non-electrified locks, card readers, ancillary door devices
  • IP/analog cameras, head-end video recording devices
  • Wired/wireless systems and intercom systems
• Troubleshoot and resolve installation issues efficiently and effectively to ensure company compliance, standards and building codes, as well as company safety policies and procedures
• Execute, document and track service-related issued through ServiceNow in accordance with Federal, State, and local regulations
• Interpret electrical schematics, CAD drawings and related documents for use in low-voltage applications
• Provide phone and on-line remote diagnostic support with a high level of customer service to both internal and external clients
• Collaborate and perform tasks with other internal teams and clients as required

QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVES):

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must possess a valid Driver's License with at least one year of driving experience, a clean driving record (no major violations within last 36 months, no more than 1 accident in last 24 months, no more than one minor moving violation in last 24 months), a minimum level of insurance as required by Company policy, and the ability to safely operate a company issued vehicle
• Minimum of two (2) years of field experience in the electronic security industry
• Possession of state-specific licensing or ability to obtain and hold license once hired
• Strong computer skills with the ability to quickly navigate and oversee the use of multiple systems and applications
• Excellent interpersonal and communication (both oral and written) skills to document and report important information with all levels of the organization
• Ensure the completion of tasks and projects, both independently and as part of a team, to meet deadlines and contribute to the overall success of the organization
• Available for schedule "on-call" duties to respond to emergency service tickets/requests
• Strong troubleshooting skills, mechanical and electronics aptitude
• Ability to work with a variety of hand and power tools
• Capable of lifting up to 50lbs and work on various ladder heights

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):

• Highly skilled in the electronic security industry
• Experience and/or manufacture certifications in any of the following: Lenel, S2, Genetec AMAG, Brivo, Milestone, SoftwareHouse/CCURE, Axis, Avigilon, Exacqvision, DMP, Bosch, Edwards (EST), Simplex, Notifier, Firelite
