Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented, hands on, and proactive Inventory Control Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing and handling inventory including receiving, cycle counting , working with suppliers, accuracy of stock records, and optimizing inventory processes. This position requires an understanding of inventory management and material handling. Your expertise will help us maintain efficient warehouse distribution, enhance purchasing strategies, and support overall supply chain management.
Duties
Oversee and maintain accurate inventory records using SAP system. Does physical inventory checks to reconcile actual stock to system levels.
Receiving, Put-away, & Shipping: Verifies incoming deliveries against purchase orders, ensuring items are correctly labeled and stored. Helps resolve stock variances looking for damage, loss, shipping errors.
Conduct regular audits of inventory levels to ensure compliance with company standards.
Source materials and negotiate with suppliers if required.
Ability to train for operation of some industrial equipment, such as band saw.
Warehouse Upkeep: Maintains a clean and organized stockroom, removing debris and ensuring aisles are clear for safe movement.
Qualifications
Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, inventory control, and purchasing.
Familiarity with ERP systems and inventory management software a plus.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data effectively.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Critical for identifying incorrect part numbers, damaged goods, discrepancies in shipment quantities.
Experience with supplier management and negotiation a plus.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Manufacturing environment requires standing and movement throughout day.
Able to lift and move boxes up to 50 lbs.
Able to drive company vehicle to occasionally perform deliveries & pickups. Has a good driving record.
Certified forklift operator or willingness to train.
On the job training provided.
