Responsibilities:- Design new heavy equipment with a focus on multiple product lines, ensuring adherence to customer specifications and industry standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, project management, and quality assurance, to deliver customized solutions.
- Provide manufacturing support and troubleshooting throughout the production process.
- Manage product development projects from conception through implementation, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards are met.
- Ensure designs comply with agency standards, such as the American Bureau of Shipping, American Petroleum Institute, and Code of Federal Regulations.
- Participate in internal quality audits and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the design department.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) required.
- 10 years of relevant experience in design engineering or a suitable combination of education and experience.
- Expertise in hydraulic systems, mobile equipment drivetrains, electrical/control systems, and/or structural design.
- Proficiency with 3D modeling and engineering simulation tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills.
- MECOP program experience a plus.
