What are the responsibilities and job description for the Template Processor position at Allied Stone Inc?
We are looking for an entry-level CAD Drafter with AutoCAD experience to collaborate with our internal departments and prepare technical drawings for new orders. This is a vital part of our operations team, serving both our operations/production departments and our customers, and will require the specialist to have strong interpersonal skills, and a keen eye for detail. This position will involve basic interaction with AutoCAD.
Essential Functions:
- Communicate with the sales department to gather new orders for processing
- Communicate with the templating department and prepare folders for projects
- Prepare quotes for customers based on prepared drawings, material cost, and other factors. Convert quotes into invoices
- Act as a liaison between the sales department and customer to schedule installations and resolve problems
- Inspect drawings and input basic necessary information (measurements, edge types, cutouts, etc.) into AutoCAD
- Communicate relevant information (assembly, required materials, required labor) to sales and/or production
- Complete necessary paperwork and send job site photos to office staff
- Clean up digital drawings and add necessary details for sales staff

QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS AND/OR TRAINING):
Required Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Required Experience:
- 2 years of AutoCAD experience required
Preferred Experience:
- General knowledge of countertop layouts and cabinet installation
ESSENTIAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, ABILITY AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Demonstrated ability to read blueprints and construction diagrams
- Basic math skills (Must be able to calculate square footage)
- Basic problem-solving and analytical skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Outlook and Excel)
Work Environment:
This position will be performed in an office environment.
Physical Demands:
There are little to no physical demands expected of this position.
Travel Required:
Travel to other office locations is not expected for this position
