CDL Class B Truck Driver - $30-$36/hour

Position Overview

We are a family-owned and operated company seeking a reliable and experienced CDL Class B Truck Driver to join our team. This role involves local deliveries to job sites within a 50–60 mile radius, ensuring materials are delivered safely, accurately, and on time.

This is a hands-on position that includes loading and unloading steel materials, coordinating daily routes, and assisting in the shop when needed. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and flexible with scheduling based on daily delivery demands.

Schedule

• Monday–Friday

• Typical hours: 6:00 AM – 3:30/4:30 PM

• Flexibility required (earlier/later start times or later end times depending on deliveries and workload)

Key Responsibilities

• Load trucks accurately by verifying steel materials against paperwork and delivery tickets

• Ensure all materials are secure and properly staged for safe transport

• Drive to and from job sites (approximately 50–60 mile radius; driving ~80% of the day)

• Deliver materials safely and professionally to customers and job sites

• Review daily delivery schedules and routes with the Director of Operations

• Maintain clear communication with dispatch/operations throughout the day

• Perform routine vehicle inspections (pre-trip and post-trip) and report any issues

• Assist in maintaining truck cleanliness, maintenance schedules, and required certifications

• Operate company vehicles including 26 ft flatbed trucks, CDL and non-CDL trucks, and pickup trucks

• Assist with basic shop/production tasks when not on deliveries (training provided)

• Follow all safety procedures and DOT regulations

Requirements

• Valid CDL Class B license (REQUIRED)

• 2–5 years of CDL driving experience

• Clean driving record

• Ability to lift and move materials as needed

• Strong attention to detail and reliability

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Forklift and crane certification preferred (or willingness to be trained/certified)

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
